During the past decades, ICT software system has been developing from embedded architecture to serverless architecture which accumulates a large amount of software reliability design technology. In this speech, software reliability technology in ICT industry including fault tolerance, fault removal, and fault predication technology will be presented. As ICT system is turning to cloud native whilst its complexity increases, a number of new reliability challenges emerged in the software system therein. In addition, some key industries are in need of higher reliability due to the application of 5G technology for verticals. For example, the probability that the end to end latency is less than a few milliseconds is required to be no less than 99.9999% while the reliability of smart manufacturing systems is concerned. Top challenges in terms of software system reliability in ICT cloud native software systems will be described as well.
